More about
me

Hi, I’m Damola—a multidisciplinary writer with over seven years of experience across mediums. I’m passionate about culturally-responsive storytelling, and I channel that into helping brands communicate boldly with diverse audiences.

I began my career as a Staff Writer for an African youth publication, covering everything from music and politics to arts and culture. My writing was also featured in the BBC and Africa Is a Country. I later took on freelance editing for publications like Billboard and AMAKA.

My current work combines strategic copywriting, brand strategy, and creative ideation to shape resonant marketing campaigns for a range of clients. I’ve worked for Spotify, The Africa Center and Flutterwave to name a few.

I attended both The New School and The University of Central Florida, where I studied International Studies and Organizational Communication.

If you need me, I’m probably somewhere cackling and drinking matcha (as pictured) but you can always reach me via email. Let’s chat!
